West Bank has been identified in Arun Local Plan 2011-2031 as a ‘Strategic Allocation’ site which has the potential to repurpose and regenerate Littlehampton’s harbour.
Its proximity by the river and coast makes this area a highly desirable and attractive opportunity to revitalise sympathetically and complement the award-winning East Bank scheme. The Council would like to explore ideas for regeneration and develop planning policy that provides landowners and developers with clear guidance. The vision is to create a new quarter that combines, new homes, businesses, recreation, public space, footpaths, innovation, culture and heritage.
