The Littlehampton History Website that was awarded the Thumbs Up from Local Pupils!

Updated: Sep 24

The Littlehampton Histories and Stories website was officially launched 2022, giving residents and visitors an exciting way to explore the town's rich history. Developed by the council in collaboration with River Beach Primary School, this interactive website replaces the old Look and Sea exhibition.

Packed with stories about Littlehampton’s maritime past, famous residents, and historic buildings, the website is designed to make learning fun! It’s also smartphone-friendly, featuring QR codes, videos, and quizzes as part of a town trail, led by mascot Ozzie the Owl.

Local students gave it a try and loved it, with one pupil sharing, “It was fun! I learned about famous people and even found out someone famous died on my street!”

Check it out to uncover the history of Littlehampton in a new, engaging way!
