Littlehampton's new Skate Park opened in October 2019 on Sea Road, just to the west of Littlehampton Wave. Maverick Industries designed and constructed the contraptions: significantly upgrading the facilities that previously stood on the site. The improved range of ramps are suitable for scooters, skateboards, in-lines and BMX for skating enthusiasts. The attraction is an extremely popular addition to the seafront which draws crowds from far-afield.
Arun District Council and Littlehampton Town Council worked in partnership with Sport England who provided grant funding of £45,800. The remainder was topped up by Arun District Council with a total project investment of £200,850.
“We are extremely pleased with the new skate park. This is an amazing new provision for the local people of Littlehampton and will appeal to a range of users of different ages. The skate park is already proving very popular, and we’d like to thank Maverick Industries for doing such an excellent job.”
James Walsh, leader of Arun District Council
