East Beach Café

Updated: Nov 24, 2021

Littlehampton's iconic East Beach Café on the seafront has been described as "An architectural marvel" by Vogue magazine. It enjoys a prime beachfront location with spectacular views of the sea.

It is the first building designed by Thomas Heatherwick CBE, a former protégé of Sir Terence Conran and the café has won several awards and worldwide praise and recognition for its striking architectural design. Thomas Heatherwick CBE was described by The Times as “the most creative mind in Britain,” and the stunning café/restaurant is an incredibly popular venue at the western end of Littlehampton's promenade. The creation of East Beach Café represented a major private investment in Littlehampton and the iconic building continues to play an important part in the town’s regeneration journey.

East Beach Café is a tourist attraction in its own right and attracts visitors from around the world, keen to enjoy the views and sample the freshly prepared, locally sourced food. Fish and seafood caught in and around Littlehampton feature on the menu and the outside decking area is the perfect spot to enjoy a fabulous sunset meal and watch the world go by.
